This workshop aims to explore sexual expression in persons living with dementia its impact on nursing care. Humans are sexual beings and the need for sexual expression provides emotional and physical benefits throughout life and does not diminish with age or loss of capacity. During this workshop Karen will explore with you the importance of the body and emotions in relation to personhood, and how valuing embodiment and emotions can offer a new perspective on sexual expression for persons living with dementia.
