The Annual International Dementia Conference is the biggest dementia event in Ireland and this year it will take place online (Zoom)from the 4th until the 6th of October 2021.

The theme of the 13th International Dementia Conference isOpportunity out of Adversity” and the event will feature insightful and educational presentations, delivered by Irish and International speakers, engaging panel discussions and interactive sessions.

The conference will cover the multiple facets of dementia, focusing not only on the research and on the medical aspect of the disease, but also on the importance of community support and living well with dementia.

Topics to include:

  • The impact of the COVID pandemic on people living with dementia and their carers, both at home and in nursing homes, and about new models of care which have been and are being developed.
  • The met and unmet needs of people living with dementia and their families and most importantly we will listen to their experiences and points of view.

The 13th International Dementia Conference is addressed to anybody who experiences dementia at work or in their personal life and it’s a fantastic way to get together (even though remotely) and spread awareness on how to contribute to a dementia inclusive society.

We will focus on the research, the medical aspect of the disease, but also on the importance of community support and living well with dementia.
