Little Funding Stories, Big Social Impact: Irish project ‘Living Well with Dementia’ showcased as success story

A new website showcasing social purpose organisations (SPOs) and their innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges has been launched and features an Irish project, Living Well with Dementia (LWwD), as one success story that has made a big impact with limited funding.

LWwD, a project based in a community in South Dublin, brings together a consortium of various stakeholders (people with dementia, family carers, police officers, doctors, etc.) to address dementia, raise awareness, and develop personalised support to enable people with dementia to remain in their own home, living full lives for as long as possible. The LWwD project is supported through a partnership approach by the Health Service Executive of Ireland (HSE) and Genio.
