The National Dementia Office in collaboration with the Centre for Economic and Social Research on Dementia is collecting information on innovative and/or good practice dementia initiatives.

Our aim is to share this data among others working in the field of dementia. Collected information will be showcased on www.understandtogether.ie. This web-resource will be a platform for information sharing and we hope will enhance networking and learning opportunities.

Programme(s) must be dementia-specific and can include:

1) awareness raising

2) psychosocial interventions

3) social support

4) supporting a diagnosis

5) education and training

6) practice development

7) quality improvement (including dementia audit tools)

8) service development

9) testing concept

Programmes must be currently operating and can be aimed at staff members, families, organisations, people with dementia, volunteers and/or the general public.

We look forward to hearing about all the good practice dementia Initiatives that are happening around the country.
