Moments of joy concert, 16 April

Moments of joy concert, 16 April

Country music singer, Alzheimer’s activist and daughter of the late Glen Campbell, Debby Campbell, is the headline act at a forthcoming concert taking place as part of the 10th International Dementia Conference in Dublin’s Helix on April 16.

Organised by Sonas apc and supported by the Dementia: Understand Togethercampaign, the concert, Moments of Joy, will feature a number of artists and groups as part of an evening of music and dance for people with dementia, their families, carers and friends.

Amongst the line-up are Vintage Youth, Dance Theatre of Ireland’s seniors dance ensemble, and the Forget-Me-Nots Choir, a Dublin-based community choir that especially welcomes people with dementia.

The concert aims to highlight the therapeutic benefits of music and dance for people with dementia in supporting their health and well-being, and in maintaining their social connections. The concert is free of charge, however, places are limited. To book your place, visit www.understandtogether.ie/momentsofjoy.
